TRAM

Media City has a dedicated tram stop on the Eccles Line, which runs from Manchester City Centre to Eccles via Salford Quays. Trams run every 12 minutes, and pass through the Cornbrook Metrolink interchange for easy access to and from Altrincham, Didsbury and Manchester Airport.

In the unlikely event your Eccles bound tram isn’t set to stop at MediaCity, Harbour City and Broadway are a short 5 minute walk away.

There’s also the Imperial War Museum tram stop on the Trafford Park extension. Stopping right outside the Imperial War Museum it’s just a 5 minute walk to the Media City Piazza.

BUS

The number 50 bus route from East Didsbury to The Lowry stops at MediaCity, running from South Manchester, through Manchester City Centre, before taking in Salford Crescent, Chapel Street, and Langworthy Road.

BIKE

MediaCity is easy to reach on bike with cycle routes making use of the Manchester Ship Canal, River Irwell and Bridgewater Canal for traffic-free journeys.

There are several TfGM cycle hire stations around media city, 650 bike spaces and secure lockable storage at the Media City Cycle Hub.

You can find dedicated cycle maps on the Media City BUG.

CAR

You can drive, but remember the trail starts at Media City but finishes about 2.5 miles away at The Kings Arms so you’ll have to come back for your car.

The postcode for Media City is M50 2EQ, and there are two multistory car parks on site – Quayside and Broadway.

There’s even EV charging facilities!

E-SCOOTER

Ride the trail in style thanks to the TfGM E-Scooter Trial. MediaCity is a handy pick up and drop off point for Lime Scooters.
